Carl Barks was an US-American comic-strip artist, famous for his work for Disney. Most of today’s universe of Dagobert und Donald Duck is built on Barks’ work.
Besides that he also was a cartoonist and painter: the "Nude with the hat" is an important early drawing (coloured pencil) of Carl Barks.
