The Viennese painter Heinz Anger began his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1959 under Sergius Pauser and, from 1960, in the class of Albert Paris Gütersloh. Since 1961, he has worked as a freelance commercial graphic artist and artist.

In Heinz Anger's works, color and light dominate. While his oil paintings predominantly feature nudes and still lifes, his watercolors are dominated by landscape depictions in the Austrian tradition. Anger elevates the landscape to the content of his paintings, always seeking to portray the truth in nature.

Throughout his career, Anger has been celebrated for his meticulous attention to detail and his ability to convey the subtle interplay of light and shadow in nature. His works often feature rural scenes, forests, and mountain landscapes, characterized by a realistic yet atmospheric style.
