*2025* - ALF POIER (*1967), Bunt geschwärztes Bilderbuch
Alf Poier, the cabaret artist and overall artist, is causing a stir with a new publication. The works on display in his colourful blackened picture book on the subject of "cancel culture" could provide conversational and/or potentially explosive fuse.
Under the title "Arte Ingrata" - in other words, art that is unwelcomed - Alf Poier has dedicated a chapter of his own. "Arte Ingrata", the author refers to art itself, which is unwilling to conform to the overly woke, politically over-correct demands of the established art establishment.
In wise anticipation, Alf Poier has already painted over many of his works with black paint in advance, and thus cancelled himself, in order to give no chance of an extra-determined cancellation from outside!
The book also contains many well-known Dadaist paintings and objects from Poier's various creative periods, some of which were already part of his several nationally and internationally award-winning cabaret programs.
For those who care about the freedom of art, and who still haven't lost the laugh in post-satirical times, Alf Poier's colourful blackened picture book will be a welcome thorn in the side of our over-sensitised society!
*2019 - 2020* - GOTTFRIED HELNWEIN (*1948), The Epiphany of the Displaced
"Gottfried Helnwein shakes people at their core, he moves their hearts. And it pleases me, of course, when one can show that art does not have to be art for art's sake, that it can have a message, a message which affects people and moves them." (Klaus Albrecht Schröder, Director, Albertina Museum Vienna)
"If anyone from Austrian fine art of the last fifty years could be called a star, then there is only one person who meets all the criteria: Gottfried Helnwein." (Stella Rollig, Director, Belvedere Museum Vienna)

*2019* - ALF POIER (*1967), 123 Meisterwerke
"This is my colossal legacy! Feast on it, that you may be nourished by the fruit of my art." (Alf Poier)
This illustrated book, cross-documented in Alf Poier's own language, presents an exclusive selection of his most famous drawings, paintings, photograms and objects. A lateral thinking firework of stubbornness, "laughability" and eccentric coloration!
*2017* - ROBERT KABAS (*1952), Sein Werk im Raum
On the occasion of the 65th birthday of Robert Kabas it was a honour and duty to present a book of the extensive solo exhibition of the artist at our gallery at Spiegelgasse 21, 1010 Vienna.
*2017* - BILLI THANNER (*1972), Die Venus ist gekommen
The orchestration of femininity and masculinity and the critical view on mutual stereotypes are the recurring and ironic sujets of Billi Thanner's oeuvre.
The catalogue was made in cooperation with Museum Angerlehner.
*2015* - GERHARD GEPP (*1940 - †2024), Poetic Realism
"Basically all my paintings are self-portraits", says Gerhard Gepp.
"First I thought that my realistic way of painting is totally out of time. But then I realized that I do not have to satisfy artistic trends, because the way I paint is right for me, what I see and what moves me."
